a bit drunk

ok so i had dinner and beers with some friends tonight so im feeling a little bit drunk, i was gunna talk more about high school, but i finished high school 10 years ago so i need to be not drunk to write about it with a good memory. so just some more about me

i love sport. rugby league especially. i dont play anymore but follow my beloved parramatta eels religiously. i also like a lot of other sports, mainly rugby union, AFL, tennis, cricket and soccer.

i like socialising. im a social person. i like the odd beer or 10. i used to be really fit but i work too much these days so im not as fit anymore, although im not fat or anything.

people tell me im good looking. personally i dont think so, each to their own.

i live with my boyfriend. he is 27. he is hot. he is also not out to his parents, . the ppl that dont know about us think we are "flatmates" lol.

ok i need to sleep now. if i wake up early enough ill write more in the morning. thank fuck tomorrow is friday, im so sick of work this week.

  1. Yes, I'm reading your blog - you seemed surprised that anyone was with my last comment.

Thinking your boyfriend was your flatmate, I've had that happen. My husband (yes, we're legally married in California although the US government doesn't recognize our marriage) and I have been together for 18 years, wear identical wedding rings, and have a six year old son, and someone made a comment about him being my brother! That's both funny and dumb. He's 6'4" (1.93m) and I'm 5'9" (1.75m)and we look nothing alike. That was several years ago, so hopefully that won't happen again. But some people's minds aren't open to the possibility of two men being a family.

  2. lol brothers!! that has happened to us before as well, although we have the same colour hair and he is only slightly taller than me.
gay marriage is not legal here in australia, although some states governments are trying to push it!

  3. Yes, I've read that the ACT (does that refer to Australian Capital Territory or something like that?) passed it but had the federal government outlaw it. Your current PM doesn't seem to be as gay friendly as he seemed before the last election. If I remember what someone from Australia told me once, the Liberal party is in reality conservative compared to Labour (that "u" in labor looks so strange to my American eyes).

  4. yes, ACT is the Australian Capital Territory (basically its Canberra). they tried to pass gay marriage or civil unions several times when the Liberal party (yes very conservative and anti-gay) was in power, but they continually vetoed it. We now have the Labor party (thank god!)(they dont use the U!) who are much more gay friendly, and have granted equal rights in most things, except for gay marriage/civil unions. Kevin Rudd our Prime Minister has always said he supports gay rights except for marriage, so it isnt a surprise. they have allowed "relationship registers" only. I dont think gay marriage is far away though, large sections of the labor party support it as do most state branches, and even some in the liberal party support it. public opinion is also in support now, which it wasnt 5 years ago. p.s i think the UK and NZ parties both spell it Labour, but not us.

  6. Hey John just started reading your blog.
I googled "gay rugby league players" cause I wanted to see if anyone else had come out apart from Ian Roberts, but not to be.
Anyway, I like sports as well, I go for the Panthers in league, and the Hawks in aussie rules.
